Practice Equipment and Facilities

Bartons' Veterinary Surgery is a well-equipped practice. Modern Veterinary practice demands this. All our equipment is well-maintained and in many cases we have back-up machines aswell. A few examples:-

SMR 110/25 X-ray machine. This up-to-the-minute machine allows us to take quality X-rays of all shapes and sizes of patients. As back-up we have a smaller, portable TR 80/20 machine - also for off-site use. Our Velopex automatic processor ensures quality developing.

Toshiba SSH-140 Ultrasound System - our latest major acquisition. A highly sophisticated machine adding to our ability to establish accurate diagnoses in challenging cases.

Instaclave 3000 autoclave - for sterilization of instruments etc.. This is our main machine and we have a smaller back-up autoclave just in case.

We have two gas anaesthetic machines, one using isoflurane and one using the more modern gas anaesthetic - sevoflurane. We have the 'circuits' necessary to safely anaesthetize pets of all sizes. We monitor anaesthetics with a Pulse Oximeter and/or an ECG machine which is also used in the investigation of patients with heart problems.

Dental de-scalers, a Biochemistry Analyzer for blood testing, a Blood Pressure Monitor, superb Recovery Cages; we have them all and more and we are always looking to acquire the best, most up-to-date equipment possible.
