Bartons' Veterinary Surgery
118 Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, LL29 7LL United Kingdom Tel: 01492 530030 Services We OfferSocialization Classes for Puppies ("Puppy Parties"!) The nursing staff run regular socialization sessions (free of charge) - usually on Wednesday or Thursday evenings - for young puppies. Proper "socialization" is such an important part of any puppy's up-bringing. If you would like to attend one of these, please give your details to one of the nursing/reception staff. 24hour Emergency Service In Emergency Please Telephone Colwyn Bay (01492) 530030 - 24 Hours. Telephoning the surgery rather than simply 'turning up' with an emergency allows us to prepare for your arrival and give any 'First Aid' advice necessary. Please only call "out-of-hours" in genuinely urgent situations. Please note, out-of-hours work always attracts significant extra charges. From February 2010, out-of-hours cover will be provided in Colwyn Bay by Vets Now a specialist out-of-hours service. House Calls We are happy to arrange house calls if clients require them. Please note the following:- There is always a significant extra charge for a house call. It may not always be possible to guarantee a time for a house call. Our wide range of facilities, drugs etc., is only fully accessible at the surgery. Please consider carefully whether it would be better for your pet to be seen at the surgery. Nurse Consultations Ever thought you would like some advice but didn't want to bother the Vet? This is where the Veterinary Nurse comes in! An appointment with our qualified Veterinary Nurse costs less than a full Veterinary Consultation and the fee will be refunded should an appointment with the Vet prove necessary after all. Reduced price Microchipping also available! Behavioural Consultations If you have a concern about your dog or cat's behaviour whether inside the home or outdoors, contact our Head Nurse - Claire Lloyd-Davies - and arrange a Behavioural Consultation. Claire has qualifications in animal behaviour over and above her Veterinary Nurse qualifications and can help you cope with and, where appropriate, modify and improve you pet's behavioural problems. In most cases she will ask you to complete a questionaire as part of the consulation process.
